D3 any day wins. Nearly, just nearly had a RRS. I was given a loaner for a weekend and that was enough to put me off. Canny put my finger on it why, IMHO it was the RRS trying to be a D3 rather than a FFRR.
When I can afford it, and if I wanted a change, then it has to be a FFRR TDV8
You should drive one.Loving the power of the TDV8!

We already do, its just that ours say Discovery 3 on the back I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

That's fine - remember I also have a D3 so I really know the difference between the 2 cars.Loving the power of the TDV8!

in your opinion, can YOU pin point the difference.........................admitidly it is hard for me to split them, and have not taken a RRS off road.
I guess my feeling was the D3 was for me having already got one, and a change was too risky.

DSL, me I was, and for a RRS. the 2 I was serious about are here
I was leant the Java one, and I did like it alot, but IMHO it would be a Tarmac car, totally capable off road, but I would'nt have. But a D3 I would, why I dont know

Sorry, no meant VA's. He's been off and on trying to flog Mrs VA's car for ages but realises it is far too good.
Simply put the RRS is a firmer ride, cornering is fantastic and with the TDV8 the power is amazing. The seating position makes this car feel like you're driving a Porsche and for me that's a great plus.
Derek - kept the D3 because it's a very useful car. I have 3 kids and 3 dogs and all that accompanies them. The RRS couldn't handle all the stuff we need to carry sometimes.Loving the power of the TDV8!

I know what U mean! Was looking for a 4WD car for Mrs DSL (if I'm away in mine and it is snowy she would be stuck at home) and the only choice was a 2nd D3. Tha't now our family car & my D3 is an offroader/van/beerfridgemobile! Looked at the RRS (and FFRR) but our mutts are very discerning!
