It's in Kirkcaldy
Your point being?
Don't care what his point is, but I once bought a Trabant in Germany for the price of a bottle of single malt. Takes me back.
They were made of cardboard - some of them.
Now, in a just and fair and equal world we'd all be driving those. (Maybe that was his point after all )

My point being that Discovery’s are hardly vehicles of “equality”. Being both expensive to buy and run.
If the Royal Family ceased to exist tomorrow, how would the inequality amongst the rest of the population be any different? 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Sorry but you seem to be confusing equality of opportunity with free acquisition of wealth (I'll stop short of theft ) ..... nothing I own was just acquired without exchange for my time & labour. What I do with my money thereafter is neither here nor there.

Are you now against the JLR policy of product placement and sponsorship?
Do you not recognise the benefits to JLR in having their vehicles used by the Royal Family?
How much would it have cost to have placed your companies vehicles in a TV program with an estimated worldwide audience of 1.9bn?
Whatever the deal JLR have with the Royals, it is worth far more to JLR than it is to them! 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

All I seek is equal opportunity ..some will choose to take it ...others won't. The Royals historically chose to take a lot more for themselves

I see, so if we didn't have a Royal Family in the UK you think that equal opportunities in the UK would be improved. Interesting, what work/jobs opportunities are the Royals denying others? 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

You mentioned equality and I responded with what I would like in that respect .....I mentioned that they had acquired their wealth by their ancestors just taking it. No response as yet

You haven’t answered any of my questions yet, or Paul’s, but I never really expected that you would.
My posts on equality are in response to those who believe the Royals are creating inequality for others in the UK.
Since 1760 the net income of The Crown Estate has been given to the Exchequer. In the 2016/17 tax year that was £328.8m. The Sovereign Grant (which replaced the Civil List in 2012) in the same tax year was £42.8m. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
