Rotary Coupling Recall - I have a question |
|
This recall has been identified as effecting MY05/06 plater D3's & RRS, in my own case the Service Action was instigated in 23rd Sept 2008 according to LR records although it does not give any more details on whether the rotary coupling was changed. The service action has been extended in timescale on three occassions from what I can gather with the most recent closing date being Dec 2012
My next door neighbour has a MY05 RRS was charged for his to be replaced last year even though the service action had been done a few years before
So my question to you guys is have you had to the Service Action done previously but then found you had to pay for it at a later point.
Your help would be appreciated by pm or posting. Would be pleased to hear from anyone who might have a D3 outside of MY 05/06 who might have had theirs replaced due to an airbag warning light coming on

From what I understand a safety recall here in the states has no expiration date so it should have been done without charge.
I am looking into recalls on my '05. Is there a site somewhere that tells us if our rovers have had the recalls completed?
PO left me know info on my 05.
My LR3 fell into the recalls for the steering and the fuel tank (vent pipe?) 2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

So went here: https://www.landroverusa.com/ownership/vin-recall.html
Typed in my VIN and it said no recalls found for VIN# 'my vin", so does that mean that the applicable ones were completed? Cause my vin fell into some recalls.
Anyone know? 2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

I think you need to look at what was supposed to be done and see if has been done. I checked on my vin and they said none needed doing but on checking my vehicle some had not been done but was outside the time frame. Might be different where you are
