I currently use a slimline PS2 with a transformer and 2 screens on the headrests for hte back seat urchins. That way they can play DVDs and play games. I want a roof mounted system to prevent me having to dismantle everything each time, but the factory fitted 10" is just too obstructive. Does hte Rosen have any inputs for games consoles?
A mate of mine has just had a 9" unit fitted in his new Zafira and it has RCA connectors dropped down under one of the seats so you can hook up a console.
Any ideas, as I don't want cables trailing up and down from the roof - that would be more annoying than the FF unit!
Cheers

It has inputs for games, aux for another screen - maybe to piggy back a screen for seats 6 and 7.....
Also as a 7" and sitting in the slope of the roof I don't see a problem with rear view etc.. D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Mine has been in for 6 months now and I have certainly started a trend amongst mates who now have it fitted in a variety of cars, Amazon, Grand Cherokee, ML500, Shogun (on the basis most main dealers are mega money) these little units are pretty cool. First time I watched it myself was after SWMBO did a taxi run the other night as I was having a few scoops. Was really impressed with quality, even if it was Disney 'Cars' film..... D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

I have to say a big thanks to "n1cktdv6" for this Rosen idea. Works a treat, easy to install and a bargain. 5 months in and no problems.
It has to be said though that such a great idea could have only come from a Red ! Mrs Jones ? We've come for your Liver

Gonna try and fit it today!!!! The unit comes with fitting instructions for a PT cruiser. Is that normal or have I bought a kit specifically for that model???? Assuming it is ok for the LR.....
There are a few items that I hope you can enlighten me on......?
a) The aux switch that you guys fitted - is it neccessary. You suggested later that it wasnt.
b) What stuff do I need eg wire connectors, 2 x 1 wood, electrical tape., no nails, longer screws etc..?
c) What happens with the various items eg
- I have a box in the pack with some cobra ultrasonic things - assume I dont need these
- I have a stereo FM modulator - assume this is for the wireless headphones. Where did you hide this? Or maybe it is for connecting to your stereo via the aerial input (which I dont think I neeed to do).
- As above I have a blue cable called the audio harness. Do I need this?
d) How do you mount the plate ? How do you attach to the car? Drill new holes ?
Sorry for all the questions!

Didnt get round to fitting. But I guess I can ignore the bits I mentioned above. Anyone know how to mount the unit ie do I use the smaller fitting plate? How do I fit that to the car? on to a 2x 1 bit of wood which I screw to the roof by drilling pilot holes in the roof 'rib'?
