roof mounted rear "fin" missing.
Just collected my replacement 08 HSE & noticed that the rear roof mounted fin that was fitted to the old HSE is missing on the new one & a flat blanking plate is fitted in it's place. Is this correct on the latest model, or is something missing?never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly

My 04 model HSE has a blanking plate, I thought all new ones had the fin?

The "Fin" is the ariel for the Phone-Kit, does it have the phone-kit ?

I have the fin on my XS (MY08).
Its only used if you use the cradle. If you have a bluetooth only PTI with no cradle attachment point in the central cubby, then I don't think you need the fin (PTI arial).
Not sure if the satnav uses the fin or the antennas in the rear side windows.

Isn't the GPS aerial elsewhere on the roof , rear high level brake light surround?(which is interestingly purple in some lights on my Jave car?? )end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Isn't the GPS aerial elsewhere on the roof , rear high level brake light surround?(which is interestingly purple in some lights on my Jave car?? )end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

If it is a MY08.5 then I dont think it has a cradle and therefore no fin.Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it
