Roof Box connection to wider Disco 3 Cross Bars

Apologies if this is covered somewere else, but I did a search and couldn't find the answer:

I have a Land Rover Roof Box from around 1999 that fitted well onto my Freelander and Disco II where the bars were mounted across the gutters. BUT... the box does fit the wider cross bars on my Disco 3.

The box has four fixing points with two long bolts dropping through the box with thumb screws on the top (inside the box). Below the box there is simply a plastic coated metal hook that swivels under the roof rail and connects the two bolts before tightening. The problem is these bolts are only 4cm apart, but the new roof rail 8cm wide!

Does anyone know if I can get a new set of clamps that will solve this problem. I think I will have to drill a couple of extra holes in the box to accomodate wider clamps but I really don't want to buy a new roof box.

I fitted a Hannibal roof rack to my D3 with the use of a Thule foot system.

nwoods,
what thule foot pack did you purchase and does it fit well into the landrover roof rails?. Just asking as i still prefer the thule system, before i go down the land rover cross rail path.

The little clamp thingies are called a TK-12. The pylon mounts are a 430 system. This is somewhat speculative, having been drawn from a shoddy memory.

I do recall that the 430R (or some other letter) is a for a rounded tear drop shaped bar and that the non-lettered 430 system is the square bar system.

The system I have fits fine and is easy to install. It's all a composite plastic material, except for the little clampplates that fit in the track. So other than that, it's a good system, and has held about 250 lbs for a short time (humans).
