ROOF BARS - Compatibility ?

My car is going to be serviced by my local dealer this.I would like to get some roof bars fitted so we can carry our bikes on top of the car and also possibly a roofbox.Should I get the dealer to fit landrover bars or should I go to Halfords and get them to do it.Does it make any difference who fits the bars in terms of compatibility with roof boxes and bike carrying systems ? My thoughts are if it makes no difference then I may as well get the dealer to do whlie they have the car.Any thoughts would be much appreciated thanks

Hi there,
I have no experience of the Land Rover own brand bars.

I would just commend the roof Box Company to you. They're knowledgeable, relaible, friendly & "go the extra mile"

I bought some roof bars for my car a month ago - practised putting them on today & realised they're wider than my old ones & the brackets for the roof box are not wide enough to go round the bars - panic!
phoned them up - "Oh yes we can sort that - there's an adaptor kit, we'll send you it. No problem"

How wonderful to get someone who knows what they're doing these days.

Worth patronising if you ask me.

I'll second that positive recommendation for Roofbox. They have really good customer service.

Agree with previous posts, they know what they're talking about, are very service aware and are cheaper than Halfords.
