Hi,
I am wanted to move the roof bars on my D3, but i dont have keys and neither did the seller.
Are they a generic key and if so when can i get some?
Cheers

The key number is stamped on the lock barrel then a visit to ebay will get you a new key

Right, I've found a key cutting service but you need the code, is the code anywhere on the lock or bar?

Also, the rubber trim is missing from one, is there a generic one that will fit?

Lastly, does anyone know what size channel nut fits the groove on these bars?
Thanks again.

My roof bars (genuine) must be female as they dont have any nuts

When you unlock and pull the lever that unlocks them

Hi, thanks for the link.

With the channel nuts, what I mean is the black rubber on top can be removed and square nuts can be slid down the channel to connect tother things to it, rof racks, boxes etc, at least with other bars I've had it does. I'll wait till I get it off and see if thas these with thses.
By the way these are genuine LR bars, or at least they have the LR badge on them. They were on when I bought it, so have to assume they're genuine.
Cheers

Ah got you, I just drilled through and bolted my ladder brackets on, these started out many moons ago as brackets for holding skis onto a roof rack in the last century and have been modified for each of my Discoveries, they now hold ladders or my kayak in place

Same nuts and fitments as the ones on the Expo rack.

I have used these people for two sets roof bars and locking tow bar and they were excellent in packaging them up to identify the correct key. no problems at all. Thumbs Up

Thule make the genuine roof bars, so I think anything they make fits them, I would imagine they do spare rubber inserts also.
