Agree with everything that's been said here. Thumbs Up

I feel immensely privileged to live within their delivery area. If ever I need anything in a hurry, Steve gets it on the van and it's with me within a few hours.

When my alternator failed - a couple of years ago - I was back on the road the same day thanks to Advanced Factors. Great to see a traditional retail business embracing new technologies so powerfully to expand their sales catchment area to the whole country. Bow down

Always a pleasure to drop in for a chat with Steve, Ian, and Paul. Very Happy

An outstanding site sponsor. Thumbs Up

Ukraine 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

I've been meaning to post this for some time and now seems good. I had a tie rod fail on my car that I purchased ftom AF in March. I had to have it fixed locally but contacted Steve at AF to let him know. He asked me to return it to him with the recepit for the repacment and repair. This is the time scale:

Monday, asked garage to look at knocking, having repaced ARBs. Garage diagnosed failed tie rod end and replaced. Emailed Steve who asked me to return it with receipt for work.

Tuesday posted it off

Wednesday, email from Steve, acknowledging failure and reimbursed me fully.

No quibles, no argument, just fantastic service as always. Many bigger companies (are you listening LR) could learn from AF about customer service.

This is why I use AF and recommend them to everyone. Thumbs Up

Timing is everything chaps -

Today my 19YO son is going in for a knee operation, it's exactly 19 years to the day since he had an emergency operation at a few weeks old for a stomach problem that was stopping him keeping food in, never had a more stressful day in my life!

So I sit and read these comments this morning and feel very humbled.

Thank you

Thanks for asking. Went very well (from my point of view anyway)

They were planning two keyhole jobs but when they started they added a nice big cut down the front and moved his kneecap 12mm. He has suffered very little pain on recovery (less than everyday life beforehand) and is already only using the crutches for walks longer than the usual between his bed and the fridge.

The sad thing is that we went private in the end because his GP refused to believe it was anything more than soft tissue damage, this was for a period of three years. The consultant he went to said as he walked towards him "I can see you problem, your kneecap is off centre"

I still have faith in our NHS. We, as a family, are changing our GP this week, odd that!

Sounds like good old “Pyloric Stenosis”.

Had the same and I am still here 62 years later Very Happy

I was even christened in hospital.

If I was born two years earlier then the expertise wasn’t there and I would have been pushing up daisies Big Cry

Anyway, all the best for your son Thumbs Up

I hate to talk about this still now, but then our family GP told my wife, who was then a qualified Nanny with experience of other peoples babies, that she was being over anxious and we should try feeding him more slowly.

Fortunately her mother was a medical secretary at our local general hospital, she spoke with someone and he went in as an emergency admission with a letter to the GP afterwards. Her needed stabilising for nearly 24 hours before they would take him to surgery.

I know GPs are stressed but paracetamol can't fix everything.

Glad yours went to plan too.

All the best to your boy hope he recovers well and it doesn't interfere with his career

NHS did me a favour with their investigations this year, but I did switch to private to get it resolved

Ps thanks for the bulbs Thumbs Up
