If it's a MY2014 D4 they have brought the emissions down and the 'tax' is 'only' £275 Rolling Eyes

Still,at least they're using it to repair all the potholes and upgrade poor roads Rolling Eyes Whistle

I paid £280 last time on mine November - surely that is some mistake? However, had council tax in this week, +1.9% at last something that beat inflation (~9%).

Just came home to find the friendly reminder from That big ugly building in Swansea (I can see the DVLA from my mother house in Morriston, Swansea).....£475 Shocked

Had a few months on the car when I bought it, and new it was expensive, but seeing it in black and white is still a shock Shocked

6M @ £261.25 (x 2 = £522.50 Shocked )

So best to stump up for the full year I think Thumbs Up

If the vote goes correctly in September then perhaps vehicles registered to residents of Scotland will not have to pay this charge. After all, Scottish Government got rid of tolls on tunnels, and bridges, and prescription charges, and . . . . .

So is this why Ms May wants Border Controls?
