Rim wax....worth it or not. ?
So finally got round to cleaning the Elton John spec wheels ready for winter storage....came out really well ...so the question to those that have used it before,is rim wax going to help keep them that way or is it just more work for little reward ?

You thought rim wax was what JLS get done in the male grooming parlour,so I'm not listening to you "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

have an aerosoll RIMMING wax....
it seems to work & keep wheels ingrained brake dust free....BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK

I think its too much in for not enough out, as long as you give them a good clean before storage then they should survive storage !
Keeping them clean whilst on the car is easier with a cleaner like Bilt Hamber ! brake dust is going to perforate laquer on the wheels so a microscopic layer of Wax is going to do nothing as far as i can see !
I used to have some BBS split rims i painted with Vaseline come winter othetrwise they coroded really badly on the joins and outer rim but thats as far as i would ever go ?
You would be better off applying a few coats of wax to the car now that you have some decent car shampoo
