In the interests of the lifetime of the compressor - is it better to keep the ride set at normal height OR is it better to go into access or indeed off-road height frequently?
Is it a case of "use it or lose it" OR "use it and wear it out"?
Thanks Volvo XC60 - does all that the D4 should have done

Find somebody with a Faultmate or AutoLogic...............There's a new Software Package that enhances the longevity on the compressor.
IMHO, not using the Access/Normal/Offroad will help anyway, but remember the pump will still be topping the tank whilst driving but not as much when you're fiddling with the switch in the cabin.

I lower mine every time I get in and out of it as it is easier for me. As Mac says, it will be operating if you don;t lower it as it will be adjusting to additional and less weight in the vehicle.
