Was it a completely new compressor assembly you put on?
I had similar codes, res filling too slowly. All the desiccant balls were dry, filters clean etc. On the compressor there is a solonoid valve and this was sticking in my case. I managed to get another valve out of a lightly used compressor and all worked perfectly again.

I know you said you have soldered the bare wire on the blue connector, but it could be corroded inside. A bridge would prove it and is a small job to do! The code C1131 suggests weak current / poor connection. Of course it could be elsewhere, but might as well rule everything out in the wheel arch.

I'll be working through everything with gstuart (thank you again) on Saturday. I guess this will be the first thing we try. I was reluctant to cut the equivalent wire on the other side of the blue plug if this wasn't the problem but I guess nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Have sharpened up my side cutters already Rolling with laughter

Got a pen and pad so can write all the readings down as we go through it Thumbs Up

Pleasure as always help where I can

Shucks my head won’t go through the door Rolling with laughter

Thks though as it’s so nice being able to give back to the forum , plus nice making friends along the way

When I virtually had to tear my suspension apart it’s suprising little things u pick up

I made up some pressure gauges which inc shrieder valves , which allowed me to blow air lines out and also test lines one by one

Thks again as that will also be brilliant for Saturday in being able to ask things as we progress , most appreciated Thumbs Up

Thks, will put a multimeter either side of the connector to ensure its sound , if not will indeed just cut it out and relink it

Did get some long test leads when I done mine , so can test from the connector to the compressor / pressure switch etc

Have plenty of heat shrink as well , have 30 amp wire which should suffice for the smaller wires

Just a pointer for Saturday, the MM might give you a continuity signal but you might have to check the load (current) as well just to be sure the con is OK. As for your head just bring the paracetamol you'll probably need it by days end Laughing

Thks, I got tripped up like that before when I was doing an airbag fault , only done a ohms test but not a voltage test , threw me for days until I then done a voltage test across a connector

Went live to earth on one side and the same on the other side and were different , pin inside was dirty

Have recently bought a clamp meter so should be handy if I can’t get a test lead in the back of the connector

Cheers I think I better do a bulk order of paracetamol Rolling with laughter

Sad as it sounds , enjoy doing things like this , maybe it’s time for me to be certified Whistle

Hi guys

Have been going through everything , fixed a leak to the front valve block

The reservoir valve block isn’t opening , I measured on the black and white wire and have 6 x volts , but don’t know if I should be getting a reading on the other wire , which is plain black

Compressor runs, but because the reservoir valve isn’t opening the compressor shuts off as it’s got know wheee to go, or dead heading

Vaccum tested allthe lines and up to the valve blocks , all now done

It’s just the valve isn’t opening , Does anyone know what the voltage should be at the reservoir valve please

Am trying to find it but alas haven’t found it yet

Thks so much if anyone knows plse, we’re both still out in the rain Laughing
