Retrofitting the active rear diff to a 2013 HSE Lux?

Hi all

I've had a search about and couldn't find much info on this...

I've found a reasonably priced active rear differential that is correct for the 2013 HSE Lux I have (pop up gear version) but can't actually find any info on what else is required to make it work in the vehicle or if it is even possible

The 4x4i screen shows the rear diff symbol greyed out, so is it just a case of fitting the diff and then updating the software to tell the car that it is now fitted?

Any advice appreciated

Additional ECU required. New harness required. Reprogramming of CCF to add to vehicle. Unless you're going to be doing some serious off road, with wheels in the air, you're not likely to need it.

A chap in the Discovery Owners club wrote an article in the club magazine a few years ago. Definitely was not just plug and play. Lots of wiring to sort.

thanks lads, that's exactly the info I was looking for

Not going to be doing any extreme off roading, that's what the Defender is for, but thought it might be nice to have in the snow if it was easy enough to do

Might be why the part itself is so cheap then Rolling Eyes
