Retro fitting heated seats |

I picked up a new Land Rover LR3 Heater Control Assembly with the heated seat buttons and have my dash apart and can't seem to able to find the plug any help 2006 SE V6 / 2002 MB G-500

Should be taped behind the HEVAC unit.
Mine hasn't got one, i've looked, but i know a man who's sorting this problem out for me

You have to remove the lower tray first. Also, the clips that hold it in are SUPER strong. Make sure you put on gloves and pull straight toward the rear, it will come out eventually. he got the control unit off ebay and the seat pads off me and all fitted quite easily if i remeber...
may need to have the ECU told it has seats though... TLO has left the building.......

No ECU update required - the only tricky bit was that I didn't have the wiring from the back of the heater control unit so I hacked apart another wiring loom and spliced the required wires into the exisiting loom (sounds camplicated but as long as you take you time to note down all the pins and plug slots as you remove the wires from the spare loom no problem). Then just fit the pads - oh and a missing earth lead under the driver seat Thanks for finding that TFC
That all said, it's probably possible to bypass the internal looms and fit a custom one - TFC would be the one to speak to on that. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
