Correct ..when in reverse the nav screen will automatically switch over to show the image .
To watch it while driving / towing / off roading etc ..just turn it on in the diagnostics ..only takes 10 seconds G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

You would need to split the rear camera signal ... So that it goes into the camera input and then either AV1 , 2 or 3
Batteries in the remote working ? G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Checked the battery, it seems to be OK. How do you split the camera signal?

Rob,
I have my gvif and cameras set up in a way that i can switch to different camera's in forward motion and have autoswitching when selecting reverse. If you a interested in the details, let me know.

Well I have at long last fitted my camera that I purchased from Wiggs.
The instructions provided by the guys on this post are spot on. The view from the camera is better than I expected and will really help when I hitch up to my camping trailer. No more strife with the wife!
Please note that the only strange issue is that once I get the dash back together the car would not start, but always swithc the ignition off. An hour later the car started without any issues.

We have a GVIF unit that allows a camera to be fitted to the D4 or RRS 2010 on. I have not promoted it on here too much as I like to get a good number of trial installs in the trade and for us to get up to speed with the potential issues. Given the D4s are all still on warranty the take up was always going to be slow.
Pete from Bellautos was the first to test it in his D4 and since then we have now over 10 of these units installed in both D4 and RRS and some main dealers also have bought them. We only had one issue with a faulty board causing picture interference and corrected with new panel.
The canbus connection has also been tested. But you have the choice not to connect this still.
The forum buy link is here for 249.99 including the unit and the rear view number plate light camera CCD http://www.hids4u.co.uk/Land-Rover-Discove...SCO41.html
We have some decent instructions now in addition to the ones done by Pete
Regards
Ian
