I visited Seat Surgeons in York yesterday for a re-trim in Alpacca (beige) leather.
What a great place, the people were really nice; Paul the owner dropped me off in the centre of York for the day and I picked up the car late afternoon.
The seats look amazing now and I’m finding them quite a bit more comfy. I’ve posted some pictures in my gallery.
To re-trim all 7 seats it's £850 +vat. forgot to mention before, with Alpacca leather they do the backs of the seats as well.

8) 8) Looks fantastic.....how about the quality of the stitching and fitting etc? Can you notice anything that might suggest that they weren't leather from the factory (apart from the colour/texture etc)...
I wonder how much it would cost to send 7 seats to the UK and back via DHL? 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Looks fantastic, very smart
Do the front seats have pores in the leather for the heater?2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

I went for the same stitching and leather colour as the standard LR factory fit so it looks identical.
They can do pretty much any type of stitching, piping or colour including adding leather to the gloves box lids and the centre cubby box top (where the fridge is). You could easily spend £6 grand on it.
The owner told me about a new white freelander they just decked out in high quality red leather, he said it looked fantastic.

Does that £850 include the door and dash trim as well?
I am seriously tempted!
Does anyone know someone who does this in the South East?

Cheers mate, much obliged!
Just had a quote from my local dealer of £1700 (inc vat) for seats only... big difference, think I will have to look into your guys.
Although the rest of my trim isn't in beige, so it might not be worthwhile doing in my case (no doubt it would cost a fair bit to have beige trims fitted....

The trim can be removed quite easily so you could change that to beige if you really wanted.
I would image dealers would be expensive, Ebay is another option or finding someone who is willing to swap
Not sure what your trim colour is but you could get your seats done in the same colour. Seat Surgeons have a number of different colours available.
Cheers,

Excellent Twisty, thanks…
Turns out that seat surgeons south are less than 10 miles away from my office.
Popped down there at lunch, agreed on the black Leather to suit my trim, at a price of £995+VAT (a little more than up in York, but it is Surrey after all – and inside the M25). And still almost £600 cheaper that LandRover would have charged me (and they actually do work for LandRover dealers)
Thanks again – don’t you just love internet forums!
Fantastic! good choice - getting them done makes it feel like a new car (on the inside at least anyway).
