Base 7 seater with basic AC.
Pondering retroffiting Dual Climate Control
What's involved ? I Presume I haven't got an internal temp sensor which I assume would be needed ?
Tried a search with no results.

Done it - On top of the Heater control unit you need two sensors, sunlight and cabin temperature/humidity, plus the cabling - that depends on your vehicle - do you have a hi-line or lo-line loom?
To get the full functionality up need to also fit the stepper motors to adjust left and right side separtely and that wiring- I've not done that bit, but even so the sensors make a big difference because without them the control unit defaults to an 18 degree setting and doesn't work as quickly to adjust the temperature to the desired level. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Quite probably right but there are ways of finding out about the loom - for one if you had a higher spec Hi-Fi or Sat-Nav then you'd have the hi-loom, do you have heated seats, again propbably high loom but not definite. You need to take the heater control unit out and look for clues i.e. is there a plug for heated seatd and are certain pins occupied in the main plug. I'll need to look into exactly which but as I only completed mine last week I still have the notes somewhere.
The basic affect is that you'll have much better control of the interior temperature i.e. you can set it to a temp and it will hold it - and without the motors it tends to take the driver side as the master control from what I've noticed.
I picked up my heater control unit from ebay for a fiver - it was from a HSE so had all the controls for heated seats, and heater windscreen as well. This also means you get the defrost control which at the press of a button sets everything to optimum defrost settings including heated windscreens (if you got one retrofitted ) LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Talk to TLO for the sensors he knows which ones they are and they're between £12-15 each if I remember correctly. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
