Hi again folks
I would like to pick your brains about a certain problem on my 2012 D4. The other day RP came on the display along with the red triangle, performance was down got home turned it off and back on and it had disappeared. It came on another twice or so and went each time it was switched off however the red triangle is now on full time. I’ve read the codes with the gap tool , none to speak of really. There is an unknown one there which is U3000-04 described as front control ?? So , I have been on live values at tickover and notice that Bank 1 EGR position sensor can’t find a fixed value . It flits between 1 and 95% constantly as opposed to Bank 2 which is steady at 4%. My questions for the people in the know are 1) which side of the engine is Bank 1 ? 2) Does anyone know what their readings are for EGR positions at tickover so I can compare ? 3) could this be a sign of EGR being knackered ? and finally 4) can EGR valves be removed if necessary rather than replaced ? Any help hints direction/ advice would be greatly appreciated.
