Landrover should pay for it in full because it's an inherent manufacturing fault.

United Kingdom 2014 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Lux Auto Loire BlueDiscovery 4

I had this happen last night. A call to Landrover Assistance and seven hours later and I got home via the big yellow taxi Big Cry

Disco is currently in the local dealership and I've got a Jag XF on the drive.

Hopefully they'll have it sorted soon.

Ive just put my disco4 in for this fault and they came back to me and said it is the right hand rocker cover thats split. Im out of warranty but it looks like you have a bit of experience with this! where can I find out if ours should have had a recall?
cheers

I believe that even the Landrover extended warranty will not pay for this because it is "an inherent manufacturing fault"

Landrover should pay in full.
There are other threads about this issue.
Stick to your guns.
It has worked for me & others. Thumbs Up

I got mine back from the dealer on Tuesday. It turned out to be a broken linkage on the turbo actuator. They were able to replace the linkage with a new one without it needing a new turbo. So glad to be rid of the jaaaag! Rolling with laughter

Had this too. The dreaded p006-a. On its own not many clues but with this thread easy! Cheers guys. Quoted £1000 almost by Indy and long wait. Suggested temp fix which had worked a treat. I'm 80% it will in fact be a permanent fix not a quick hack. Minor disassembly only. Expoxy set and pressure tested. Didn't leak a drop! No more restricted performance. I must emphasise I did this only because I needed to tow with vehicle urgently. Was prepared to pay the £££ but there you go. Cost me £6
