Ah Whistle

Does it render it " not waterproof " after swapping the battery ?

Its supposed to be non-replaceable so I would expect the hacking necessary to cut it open would Censored up the waterproofing hence my interest in what battery he has replaced it with....
 Cheers

Just a thought but unless the car has been reprogrammed and that key not reprogrammed in then it should work, it may have just needed charging??? Bit moot though if you've already squeezed a PP9 into it... Shocked

Could be like the old ford remotes were you had to change the battery within 15 seconds Shocked ..if not it would loose its communication ...althought you could re- connect it with a few button presses here and there

Not sure what the battery type is, A friend of mine replaced it with one from another working lr d3 fob.
It does start the vehicle, just no buttons work. thought there might be a way to reprograme it like on the older discos,

If it starts the vehicle then it's still coded to the vehicle, just run the vehicle for a while with it in the ignition think 6 minutes is the minimum time it takes to re-synchronise

Hi, I have exactly the same problem on a 2005 DIII I've just bought, but with both keys!
How long did it take to LR to fix your key?

Thanks
