Replacement on order!
Just returned from local dealer after just popping in for a chat about lead times etc, as my current Disco is approaching its second birthday! Waiting time now 4 months Managed to obtain build slot in July, with a modified specification, with planned delivery end of August, collection September 1st. Discovery still as popular as ever then! New car is Santorini, current car Fuji-slight difference then!

Replacement
News on 2014 D4, is non-existant. Went on line on JLR system at dealers, no information on any D4 mods/updates for 2014. I have until 2nd week of July to update build specification, therefore if anything changes before then, I will be updating build spec. Catch 22 situation, if you want car for September, it has to be ordered now

DRM, I'm in the same situation wrt September delivery. All I have gleaned is that there are a couple of colour changes (Loire Blue and Corris Grey will replace Baltic Blue and Orkney grey), there 'may' be some cosmetic changes to the headlights and wheel designs, otherwise all stays the same, which suits me.
I have paid a £500 deposit with a written agreement that should things change that are not to my liking this will be refunded and I keep the car I have. Any changes will probably appear on this site as soon as they are released, usually before the sales guys at the dealers are aware
My delivery date is first week in September at the moment, and I'm still undecided over the colour. Waiting to see the Corris Grey before I commit.

Dex. When is your build slot? I am positive that mine is 24th July, there must be a cut off date for production of 13MY and commencement of 14MY? It would be very interesting to know! Anybody have access to this info?

DG posted this in the MY2014 speculation thread

Yes you do have to be careful that you don't get an old model. I ordered mid August and was very specific about a 13MY.
Historically, the production of the new MY has usually started after the August shutdown during which they have done any necessary retooling \ processing for any new features ...last year was thrown right out by the introduction of the new FFRR onto the same line.
I'm undecided whether to go for a MY2014 or wait until next year and see if the D5 appears on the horizonCheers Ian

Well I finally have confirmation that mine is built and on its way (ordered end of Jan) - they've sent me the reg number and I should have it late next week. It'll be MY13 but is coming in the new Corris Grey instead of Orkney - I'll let y'all know if anything else looks different!

I saw a Corris Grey D4 this morning, with the black pack which I'm not a fan of personally.
When I had a second look it was parked next to a Causeway FF and there was not much difference tbh, I liked the Corris. Phone pic only I'm afraid but it's a lot darker than Orkney.

Looks like a great colour, Dexter. Judging from the photo, I'd say much lighter than Causeway, but you'd know better since you saw both of them. I think you really helped me decide between Corris and Nara Bronze. It's Corris for me, thanks!

I agree, the black pack doesn't look so good on darker shades of grey. Although I like it on black and stornoway.
