Replacement front lower swivels at 45k |
|
At the 45k service it was reported by the engineer that he had found play in the lower swivels. The parts had to be factory ordered. As I was leaving for Holland I worried in case of a belly flop accident so at home jacked the front and tested for obvious play, NOTHING OBVIOUS. Today just had repair and low and behold my previous complaints of shock transmission through the steering wheel plus excessive tram line frightners have been answered(I think).
The receptionist,(when asked) said he knew of only one other similar problem on a car with 70k on th clock.
So why did the engineer find this problem on a normal service routine? Ex. owner Dodgy Ram 2500 6ltr. Cummins, now owner c/be dodgy Disco3 Come back Toyota all is forgiven.
