Sure James, Razz
I have boots. And 2 bikes.
But I am lazy. And Working too much. And taking a toddler to and from school.
All this combined makes me use one of these:

Well a quick update on my fading battery.

Left it out on the drive last night but with the internal alarm sensor disabled (you know the double key fob click)

Down to -8 overnight and i was frankly concerned it wouldnt start so reversed it onto the drive so the bonnet would be easily accessible to SWMBO little van for a jump.

(Can you imagine the horror of being jump started in my D3 by an old Pug 206 van!!!)

Anyway fired into life first time with alot of power in the battery.

If its safe to do so it may be an idea until you get a new battery sorted.

Thumbs Up

Battery breather tube

On my replacement Varta battery, there are 2x plugs to remove for the breather tube.

As my Landrover Battery only has one plug for the tube. Would you guys recommend removing
only one plug and fit the breather tube, or should i remove both ??

Would appreciate your advice - although the sticker on the top of the battery says to remove both ??

Regards

Andy

I'd see if Nick TLO can supply you with another plastic elbow and tube, and have 2 vent tubes fitted. (if the elbow is the right size for the vent holes in that battery). If you do this, try to route the tube ends away from any paintwork or anything that acid vapour could damage in engine bay though. Wink
