Had steering wheel replaced under warranty recently. Asked service manager to fit radio buttons when he was at it. Work carried out FOC. Now I find it just as handy to use the radio knob as the remote control and thjink I wouldn't have bothered if it was going to cost me. Just a thought.

United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Atacama SandDiscovery 3

i did this mod last weekend whith no problems exept whith trying to releace the airbag. got some help from my brother to pull on the wire tool and we did it quite easy. all worked spot on whith no need to get the dealer to program it. i also fitted the cruise buttons but these dont work although they do light up, i dont know if somthing else is missing (ecu or program) maybe some one else will know, i may ask the dealer when it goes in for its next service.
regards, jim. Thumbs Up

Hi J ,

Youll be missing the activation by 10FC Wink

I notice yours is a manual aswell, we're meeting 10FC this weekend as a few of us are getting the retro CC done.A couple have already had it done , Simoniz is one , Ruben etc I think. Some of the autos that have had the buttons fitted have worked of their own accord , pot luck I suppose as they may have already had the necessary enabling already.
