Removing panel below steering column

Quick question - how do I remove the lower panel under the steering wheel? Don't want to just start tugging at it as I'm bound to break some clips Shocked want to get at the OBD port so I can relocate it Thumbs Up

Thanks
Darryl

Tip: put a small blob of grease on the clips before putting the cover back on, it will come off much easier next time. Thumbs Up

Is it the same method on the latest MY2016 models? I have a 1yr old D4 and I've been trying to remove that panel to throw some wires in there, but it's pretty happy staying where it is and I don't want to pull too hard incase I break something.

The 2 clips are located near the top of the panel and the bottom has 2 lugs that locate in slots so you need to pull from nearer the top. It does need a bit of force to remove especially on the first go - use fingers not screwdrivers Very Happy then spend a happy 10 mins searching for the right hand clip Laughing

After losing many of these clips (which cost a ridiculous amount to replace), I came up with this solution...
