Remote/Smart Key Not Found

Remote Key Not Found

So, this is a thing I know nothing about...

I have an OBD lug-in tool & erased the fault codes of the vehicle...
Then found that the codes it deleted may have included the remote key...

So the remote key no longer talks to the vehicle at all....
except for offering up under the steering column to start the Landy.

So the HUGE question is....
How do i get the key to work again ?

Any help will be Much appreciated, as i cannot lock or unlock the vehicle..

Deleting fault codes will not disable the key….have you tried a new battery in the key?
I’d suggest it was just a coincidence

I think is was coincidental...
I had cleared fault codes with an obd tool & thinking I was clever until i tried to put the ignition on again...

& REMOTE KEY NOT FOUND

i solved it by disconnecting the vehicle battery, shorting cables & reconnecting again.

I had to reset the electric windows..

So how come the car forgot its key, but remembered its blue tooth codes to talk to my phone...

Very odd indeed

It hasn’t ‘forgotten’ your key….its just not communicating with the key….put a new battery in the key and see what happens, or try the spare 👍👍

The car forgot the key when i deleted fault codes.

All was well after i disconnected the battery & reconnected.
