Remap of D4 2013 - any reports?

I note a previous post that is some 3 years old with regards to remapping the D4 and wondered if anyone had done it with an SDV6 2013?

If you have done it I'm interested to hear if you think there is a significant power output and if, when driving without your foot flat to the floor there is a noticeable increase in the MPG.

Finally, suggestions and good reports of garages able to do this in the SE of England.

thanks

Less common modification than on the D3; the bi-turbo mode of the D4 is pretty good in normal tune.

There are a few on the forum with remapped D4s but it requires a physical modification to the ECU to allow the remapping via the OBD. Contact Pete at BAS for details.

Pete @ BAS did my D4 over a year ago and it's made a big improvement to performance and towing, can't say its improved fuel consumption, but then I've not been looking Thumbs Up

BAS is in Yorkshire right? Might be a little too far for me living down in London.

had one on my 2012 sdv6... estimates are 300+ bhp and 700 Nm... Dutch company, had the icu opened, and a reflash like the old days. Goes like stink, about 750 km on a tank, and getting better. now done 35kkm, and is getting better....

go slow up to 40 km/h and then half floor it, all the way to the limiter with a push in the back..... Who says landies are slow..... Shocked

Hmmm, I've just been looking at the Superchip bluefin units. As said the ecu needs an update to allow read/writing via the ODB port. Cost seems to be £365-399.00

Any members have this map?

I have a superchip map on mine........

All I can say is awesome, gets rid of a huge amount of the turbo lag and once you get over putting your foot down, you should notice a couple of mpg extra.

You either have to go to them in Buckinghamshire or one of their dealers for the ecu unlock before you start using your bluefin module

Is yours on bluefin or did you get it written straight to the ecu?
Just wondering what happens if you get any software module updates at point of service

I noticed that Blufin units are now available at £399.

I had experience of these and the improvement was good with the advantage to return to stock Thumbs Up

It's bluefin, you can upload the new map or return it to standard as and when you want.

If the dealer flashes your map and overwrites it, then if you have the bluefin you would reload the new map or if you just had the ecu remapped, super chips would do it for you again free of charge.
