Recovery points for a D3
Love to be able to use the my D3 for some proper recoveries. The only issue I can see is that there are no really strong places to mount some recovery points, (front)?
I was thinking along the lines of a pair of defender style shakles, jate ring style, anchored to somewhere structural that I can hang a bridle from?56 plate Zermatt Silve

There is a recovery point on the front, in the middle under a plastic panel.
If you need more recovery power than that can cope with, then I'd consider buying a tank. 2014 D4 XS

Not a bad idea that! I will run it by SWMBO; I am sure it would be excellent on the school run, as she is always moaning at howq there is nowhere to park....
Seriously though, would the front point take a full kinetic recovery?56 plate Zermatt Silve

The front point is plenty strong enough ... never heard of it failing 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I've towed 40 ton artics (snow recovery) off the rear point on mine without any problems, I don't think the front one should be any different.Clive

I guess I had better stop being paranoid then .
All I need now is a set of Johnson rods and a watertight safari snorkel and I will ready for anything, lol. Ahh, there maybe one thing that might be a bit difficult to sort though....... Anyone know where I can find some common sense?56 plate Zermatt Silve
