Recommended Indi in vicinity of Central Scotland?

Hi gents, new to the site and D4’s so go easy on me!

Just bought a 2012 XS with just over 60,000 miles on the clock, been well looked after by one owner however it’s needing the front lower wishbone bushes done on the drivers side though. The dealer is doing the timing belt for me in a few weeks also. Is there any other routine maintenance that’s good to get done at this stage? The car drives very well and hasn’t had any problems looking back through logbook/service history/MOT history.

Lastly I’m after recommendations for a good disco 4 friendly indi in the central belt if anyone knows one.

Many thanks!

No option other than disco-mikey for me in Dundee - well worth the extra bit of travel (and I live on the west coast)

Welcome
Lots of help and info on this forum and people are very friendly. I’ve found , even when I’ve asked stupid things, people have been gentle at prodding me in the right direction!
Brake and electronic parking brake cleanup/maintenance seems to be a favourite. Can stick on otherwise. Plenty of info on here regarding this and a ‘brake bible’ to assist too.
Cheers

Whereabouts in çentral Scotland are you?

Eammon's autos in Thornliebank on South side of Glasgow is an ex Taggarts tech and he's good. Small backstreet garage with a lift so should be able to do most jobs.

DiscoMikey of MMP Landrover in Dundee is on this forum and is excellent. I travel from Glasgow to him if I want extra reassurance of the work or anything out of local techs comfort zone.

I use Prestige Jaguare in Paisley 0141 887 2861. An alternative is Elite Land Rover in Dumbarton which is run, I believe, by a guy who used to be at Prestige

Many thanks for the suggestions. I travel all over so have no qualms with putting in a few miles if it’s worth it - Helensburgh is very close though so that’s sounding good!

We get cars in from all over the country, some even coming from Europe

Currently, we have 2x in from the Scottish Borders, 2x from southern Englandshire, 1x from Fort William, one coming in on Monday from Peterhead, and another being recovered in from an hour North of Inverness, and that's just breakdowns and engine replacements Bow down

Blimey! Must need a fair bit of notice to get squeezed in?

Currently 4 weeks notice, excluding the above work...

That's all just "extra" work, that can be done "if" we ever find ourselves quiet, with cancellations or weather related delays Laughing

And also why my TDV8 build has taken as long as it has Big Cry

I should say, if something needs "squeezed in" we can usually accommodate, but the more notice we have, the better Laughing

Thumbs Up Disco-mikey / MMP Landrover in Dundee - really is a no-brainer, despite the distance.
