Recommendations for extra hi beam lights D4 2012 please

As a newish owner of our MY12 HSE, I was surprised to find how weird the hi beam pattern is. It appears that ours is set up correctly, and does a great job of lighting up the hedgerows in the Norfolk countryside every morning.

I am considering additional lights, and would welcome your thoughts on brands, value for money and ease of installation please.

Thanks
Andy

Swap the bulbs in the unused fog lights for these, adjust beam height to suit, fit two relays so they come on automatically when high beam is selected - jobs a goodun not perfect but certainly an improvement Thumbs Up

 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I fitted Lazer rectangular spots in the grill, they are expensive but bloody bright

Thank you, one to look into.
Do you know of any 'instructions' on how to install the relays please?

There are various solutions for mounting the Lazer lamps in the front grille. I used a kit from OEM Plus GmbH here in Germany (https://oem-plus-webshop.de/epages/346ef957-0b68-487b-90e9-27c6570db097.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/346ef957-0b68-487b-90e9-27c6570db097/Products/D4Lazerelite). The kit comes complete with lamps, electronic relay, switch, wireing loom, instructions. The lamps are mounted using brackets screwed directly to the front end carrier, thus there is no additional weight stressing the plastic front grille. Additionaly, the lamps can be switched on and off together with the main beam as well as independantly, which is usefull in rainy or snowy conditions.

The installation is not very difficult, but does take a bit of time. The are some picture of the installation in my gallery.
