Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport models are being recalled to examine passenger seatbelts, after it was found that these could fail.
Land Rover says the mounting for the buckle on the left second row seatbelt might not be strong enough and could fail in an accident.
In all, 264 Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport models are affected by the potential defect. The vehicle identification numbers for affected models are SALLSAA136A917993 to SALLSAA136A919707 and SALLAAA176A355648 to SALLAAA176A356888.
Land Rover says the mounting exceeds statutory requirements but doesn't come up to its own needs.

This is interesting because if it only covers 264 vehicles there are an awful lot of the identification numbers not used. By my reckoning the given ranges cover 2956 vehicles or does LR not use every number? LeighW
The old girl is on her third engine...

I suspect they've identified 264 buckles from the faulty batch are installed on vehicles in those VIN ranges rather than not using lots of possible VINs. SALLA's are D3s and SALLS's are RRSports The End
