Rearmost roof blind problem |
|
The roof blind over the two rear seats in the boot area just will not stay closed.
It shuts for a few miles and then SHOOTS back while driving, scaring me to death,
I can’t even see the latch, it’s hidden behind the headlining.
Any ideas how to fix this? I tried wedging something in there but that didn’t work. 1998 Defender 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF

There is a thread on here when someone solved the issues with a piece of rubber tubing. They slotted in between the glass and the metal guider runner. This should hold the clip.
This happened to my middle row, and I came across the fix. It's been great since. I used some rubber about 8-10mm in depth.
My advice, keep a few spare pieces of rubber in the glove box. Sometimes when the kids open the sunroof, the rubber falls out.
Hope this helps. Craig.
