Rear view surround camera |

When I turn the rear view camera on, the car behind me always looks like it is 2 or 3 car lengths behind me when in fact its about half a car length - is this normal?

Yes, thats usual. Means you can see exactly how close you are to something. Also, with tow ball fitted, you can just see the top of it - which is very handy.
Basically, its a very wide angle lens!
