For the rear camera you can bring up the diagnostic menu at any speed to display it. That is the only way.

I'm sorry but why would you want the rear camera on when driving, do you not have a rear view mirror or is that not dangerous enough

Hi
Character: As it happens I smashed by driver door into a pillar this weekend, completely oblivious of the thing! So not I do not have a rear view mirror! hence my question.
Russel: Please could you explain the process for the diagnostic menu, I am afraid I am new at this.
Thanks Guys,
CHM regards, Carl-Hein

From the Home menu
Press and hold the Middle of the top Grey Bar at the top of the screen for 6 seconds.
Then let go and Press and hold the text to the left of it that says Home.
Up will pop a PIN number box
753 enter and you're in.
Press Video Input Test button.
Press Rear View/Proximity Camera button
Camera On !
Cannot take praise for this - somebody else posted and I copied it
Bit distracting driving though

Not working for 2013 D4, but if you hold down 'valet' button for 30 secs you get a menu but no rear camera function. Black pack, Traxide D4-1U with jumpstart, Whispbar Rack, Nanocom, 285/50r20 Cooper LTZ's, Side steps, NZ spec-no DPF.
