Hi all, I’m sure this has been covered a multitude of times but I can’t find a thread that answers my problem. 70% of the time the car is fine. Occasionally when parked the rear end will lower, not gradually like a leak. It’s as if the car has told it to for some reason. Sometimes if I unlock the car and open a door the rear will completely lower to the bump stops! I can then start the car and it will be fine. I may get a fault on the dash but not every time. I have removed the fuse for self levelling and it doesn’t lower at all over night. When it does it it usually lowers in one movement when the door is opened. If it’s not activated by opening the car it goes in stages over time. I was thinking a dodgy level sensor? If I valve block was the issue would it not sink over night? Any help really appreciated. Unfortunately I don’t have any diagnostic tools.

Also keen to find out if there was a solution or fix.
My one is also acting a bit weird. Entire right side seems to drop overnight, but not before the rear right lets out an initial squirt of air after you turn off engine and get out. Not a huge amount, but very obvious.
I took out fuse one time and it seems to stop problem.
Had parked it at airport last week for 5 days and on return, the thing was on the bump stops on all fours.
Is there a sensor for each corner or does this sound like a valve block issue? Odd that taking out fuse stops the problem. I've no warning lights either. If in doot, flat oot!!

As we all know, The vehicle dropping on its own whilst parked is not normal behavior.
The front or rear or, front and rear dropping is typically a sign of either the front, rear or main valve block misbehaving. All this assuming of course all other aspects are operational. IE, the system is calibrated correctly with operational height sensors, there are no leaks, valve blocks are operational.
There are situations where the vehicle will adjust on its own. 1, to a “safe” height; when the air suspension module has a stored fault code. 2, Periodic Leveling Mode, 2 hours after engine shut down, every 24 hours after that.
I propose that if either the front or rear is falling, that on a scheduled 24 hour period, your vehicle is self leveling. Therefore the culprit is the corresponding valve block.
So, 1, get the stored codes.
2. Perform periodic checks for leaks.
3. Confirm valve blocks operations.
I also submit the argument that many doityourselfers wrongly suggest a change of the air supply… when its the valve block that is the root cause.
