Mine's the same remote as philm's and it doesn't fit, but getting back to the OP the remote was standard Cheers Ian

When I picked my up MY15 HSE Lux from the LR dealer there was no RSE headphones in the car, a few days later when I questioned the dealer I bought it from they immediately agreed that they should be there and sent me a brand new pair of Range Rover Whitefire Headphones
I also found the remote control still boxed up and unused in the top glove box
I agree the RSE system is not very intuitive and easy to use Current:

I don't think I would ever have noticed the pull out cup holders never mind the handy remote storage bit!

They’re WhiteFire and not rechargeable. They take normal AAA batteries and are accessed by the screw on the side of the headphone. D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

Just got a 2015/16 Lux off Gazellio (site sponsor) and although the headphones and remote were missing and never supplied to the original owner he managed to get me a set of brand new ones delivered in just a few days so many thanks for that Gary (he's a top bloke).
Problem is now cant get the remote to work as of yet, though a little more time and effort may help D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Just check you’ve got the correct remote - they changed from MY14 on. Also check that the battery in the remote is ok. D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT
