They are driving me mad - intermitently going off when in reverse
Tried cleaning / drying ect - no good
Suspect it might be a dodgy conection somewhere - before I go to dealers want to check them out - but how do I remove them?

Adam , rear bumper needs to come off to enable you to get to the sensors.
All four sensors each have a 3 pin plug going to them so you could check for a bad connection there.
Whilst the bumper is off , pop the sensors out from the bezels and give them a clean up.
The multiplug from the sensors loom is behind the n/s/r light unit , probably would be your first check before removing bumper
Regards
Matt

Thanks Matt - hoped I could get to them without removing bumper
Will try the sensor behind the unit first
Cheers

No worries , should be a 8 pin black multiplug
Easy job to remove bumper if it gets to that stage

You only need to pull the skin outwards to get at the sensors. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

as I'm having the same issue as Adam (mine always play up after being washed, so i suspect my problem is at the sensor end). On the first couple of occassions, I fixed it by drying with the hairdryer, but its not fixing it this time.
Caver - what do you mean "only pull the skin outwards" - does this mean not removing the rear bumper?
Cheers

Undo the screws at the bottom of the bumper. There is a plastic skin over the steel bar, pull this outwards and you can get behind the sensors which each have a removable housing in the plastic skin. Easier if you have someone to hold it out while you fiddle with the sensors. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Sorry, NFI.
Just did mine to rotate them to stop them being set off by the 'Mitch hitch'. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I got hands like shovels so for the time it takes to remove the bumper skin , its worth taking off so you can check the sensors and loom properly

Guys I have the same problem with the rear sensors. Is there a remove and refit guide anywhere for taking the bumper or the bumper skin off plus the individual sensors and refitting it all?
Do i need any special tools?
I want to remove the sensors dry them out with a hair dryer and refit.
They did work fine before they were pressure washed (yes yes i know)
