Rear parking sensors starting to cut out
Rear sensors are freaking out - normal beeping then a long single tone over the top.
Then the lights on the sensor dash switch flashes.
Then turns itself off and won’t turn on again.
I’m sure this is a common occurrence omongst forum D3 owners so I await the advice!
Thanks in advance

Page 178 of the hand book " if a long tone sounds & indicator light flashes . . . there is a fault with the system" so you will need to disconnect each sensor in turn to see which is faulty (I had 2 down) sounds easy but the bumper will need to come off and whilst you have it apart it may be better to replace all 4

Paid closer attention today and for now tears are ok and it’s the front sensors that aren’t happy:
And specific advice on trouble shooting the fronts please?
I’m hoping that it’s an easier job than removing the entire rear bumper?!formerly Disco3Ben

troubleshooting starts by putting your ear next to the sensors whilst active. You can hear the good ones clicking/chirping.
The outside ones can be reached and swapped via the foglight holes.... fingers crossed.
don't waste your money on cheap sensors-they can cause weird issues. IID tool lets you look at the output for each sensor and test them.2005 Discovery 3 HSE

I've been pleased with cheap ones.
Sometimes (most of the time) 1 sensor can cause the front and rear to shut down !
So it don't mean the fault is at the front!

Has anyone a wiring diagram with pinouts as I have this mess on mine which has shut the fronts and tears down gone round them all and they all make a clicking noise except one of the fronts which is dead and I have replaced with a brand new one and it’s still dead nothing at all

Black and brown power them all.
Then there is a coloured wire which is the output of each sensor. RYBG
