Yes I take out the front drivers (UK) headlight to get at the connector and use a meter, you can also get to the outside sensor via there as well.

Yes I know that’s how I changed it mate as that’s the one that’s faulty drivers side outer one well that’s the only one that I carnt heard ticking when I put my ear to it and have tried 2 new ones on it and still nothing I take it there is a 12v negative and return just wonder what the return voltage would be from the censor back to ecu if I have to check to return path but am thinking even if the return signal wire was broken it would still be ticking by just having a live and negative ?

I would guess it needs + and - to tick

I would remove the headlight

and continuity check between black by headlight and black at sensor
do the same for brown
may as well check the other wire too

Right thanks guys have fixed it wasn’t censor at all front outer right blue wire from censor plug to plug by headlight was broken cut it out and replaced it and all censors front and rear are working again

Just for anyone else that has the problem the censors will not click unless the return wire to the ecu is also connected as well as the live and negative
they do not click if only live and negative are connected
