rear parking button flashing

hi guys
anyone got any ideas
my 2006 SE 2.7 parking sensors the centre dash button is unlit as usual on start up
i reverse off the drive its make a short tone then nothing in the way stays silent,
all good so far.
but as i drive along the centre button flashes red, any ideas?

You have a sensor fault, repair the fault and it will work as normal again.

Good also be a damaged wire. As happened to my D3. Just a tiny nick in the wire, but moisture would get in and cause the same symptoms as a dodgy sensor.

Get somebody who you trust to sit in the drivers seat, start the engine and put it in reverse.
Now put your ear to each sensor there should beva ticking sound.
If one doesnt tick it could be a faulty sensor ir wiring, i picked up four good quality sensors for under £30 so i just changed all of mine.

To replace a sensor or check the wiring loom you will need to remove the bumber, this looks complicated but is quite easy and only requires a couple of basic tools.

the rear sensor wiring harness is prone to water ingress issues especially on an older model if they are all clicking happily id look for a replacement harness
