Rear nearside upper arm bush
Hi
My 2005 base model D3 has just failed its MOT on excessive wear on rear nearside upper arm bush. I have spoken to 2 local dealerships and both have advised that it will be cheaper to replace the complete arms as the labour is less than required for bush removal and replacement. One dealer has also advised that a wheel alignment check will be necessary at a cost of 2 hours labour @ £100+vat per hour. Is this correct? and if so sould I replace both sides to avoid another alignment check should the other side fail? thanks in advance for your advice.

Yep, correct on what you've been told.

Yes I did, although only one side was worn.
Seemed best considering it'd need a 4 wheel alignment again if the other went.

If one side is gone, the other wont be far away.
Stuff £200 + VAT for a wheel alignment though, can get it done elsewhere for £60-£70...My D3 Build Thread
