Open tailgate. Remove upper and lower screws clearly visible adjacent to rubber tailgate seal. Lamp unit pulls out rearwards.

If its anything like mine was - you nead vacuum succers instead of fingers or a big screw driver !

Good luck

Why do I have 2 big hands when my D3 maintenance requires small hands and at least three of them ?

I found that a wodden spacer between the light and sidepanels did the trick to remove them from their seat after removing the two screws.

All sorted and thanks for your help, instructions for fitting the cables came in the box from landrover and must say very easy to follow just nothing regarding the light fitting. No bad message on the screen at start up but dealer (Hunters) said I will have to bring it back for programing, is this necessary?, pick the new tintent up in 10 days.

Re-programming for towing electrics ?

Echoing your question mikeyt, and bumping it up the list.

I am about to fit twin towing electrics to my 2007 SE. In trawling through various posts in the past I have seen various opinions about the necessity for re-programming.

What is the latest view on the topic. I would welcome experience from anyone who has fitted the electrics and NOT re-programmed.

Question
