NOTE: The one piece exhaust is production fit only. For service repairs where the weld has broken prior to the cut off VIN numbers please refer to TOPIx Workshop Manual, section 309-00 Exhaust System for repair guidance.
A new (weld less) one piece exhaust system has now been introduced from Production from the following VIN numbers – Discovery 4 – CA638508 Range Rover Sport – CA771688
If appropriate a local repair of the weld can be claimed under a ZZZ001 warranty claim.
Cause: Poor weld during manufacturing of the exhaust at the supplier.
Hi.
My D4 is whitin the vin number mentioned in this post(AA53....) but not whitin CA63... The dealer has allready welded the rigth hand pipe, 15-20 inches before the rear muffler. I assume that the left side also will break, but my warranty expires in mars month. Should i accept welding as proper fix, or should i insist on replacement of the rear exhaust system?

Not sure what you mean by in the range/not in the range? My dealer just replace the centre section then clamped the tail pipes back on, both sides, no arguing. given there is a tsb on it, I'd be tempted to go back to the dealer before the warranty is up and ask what they're going to do about it
