Rear end creak (was) driving me potty! |
|
After weeks of trying to identify a creak/ cracking sound that I could not recreate except when driving, have finally solved the problem.
After adjusting the tailgate latches several times, having the rear folding seats up, down, up, down, junk in, junk out, people sitting in every combination in the back I thought it must be a body panel or somethin... but after having put a small amount of silicon spray on the small wedge that guides upper tailgate catch (middle centre) into lower -hey presto!
I know it doesn't sound a lot but jeeze it was driving me absolutely nuts.
to the new Maiden album that got me through the crisis.

yep - been there...done that...annoying, isn't it. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
