Rear dash camera position

Just fitting a nextbase 522 to the D4 have hardwired and run cables etc managed to get the rear cable through the washer pipe grommet by removing and refitting washer pipe, I was going to put the rear camera in the n/s top corner of the rear screen, however I then realised that was outside the wiper swept area so maybe not a good location, I’m now thinking of the bottom of the screen at the lower centre (bottom corner of the stepped bit) but thought I’d just ask where others had located their rear cameras
Regards
Mark

Thinkware here which is also small. Top Center it gives a great view of everything behind you. I also ran the wire through the grommet with the water.

I’ll try top rear tomorrow, prefer the top because it’s more out of the way of a boot full. Top centre is in the wiper arc as well, the nextbase rear camera is quite small too, although haven’t seen the ones mentioned as a comparison, did look at blackvue but a lot dearer that the nextbase and I had 2 vehicles I wanted to fit them to although as the other is my van it hadn’t got a rear view camera as no one seems to do any suitable for vans.

Have a Blackvue also, top center of rear windscreen which gives a clear picture.

United Kingdom

ive just hardwired my basic front facing Nextbase into the glove box fuse panel, as it was previously powered via the aux socket next to the TR buttons.

I used the genuine nextbase hardwire kit, and piggybacked Fuse 43 (rear wash/wipe) however this gave a permanent feed to the dashcam for some reason so I switched it fuse 53 (cigarette lighter but no idea which one) and now it all works fine.
