Rear bumper tyre carrier...
It seems that Kaymar of Australia has something very nice in the work...
I did not found that picture on their website but following a link from somewhere else...
Now, I don't have any more info on price, availability and so on but I do think that this is a very nice setup as it allows, apparently, for the use of the rear PDC... If someone had an additional tank to fit in place of the old spare tyre, that would be even better !

I think that the rear plate is supposed to be hanged on one of the tyre...
As for the picture, unfortunately, it is not mine !

I like the winch mounting(similar to others but Im sure you could fit a spring or something to the number plate for easier access than other types) and the sill gaurd might be useful.
I know hes in Australia but it proves long range tanks, wheel carriers, underbody protection and the like is out there (somewhere)
I am not affiliated with this business in any way (is that the disclaimer)

FAR from practical !!
Everytime you need to get in the trunc, first swing a way the tire
Try changing a flat tire in your suite on a rainy day...
And than hanging that flat tire back on the swing a way...
nah no thanks
Love the way it is now, as I loved it on my Mitsu pick-up..
and no, it the swing away is not more practical when off-roadingIn a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.

You obviously havn't done much offroading then. As for changing a tyre in the wet I would much rather stand at the back of the vehicle in my "suite "than crawl around on the ground trying to manoevre a mud covered tyre from under the car.TDV6 HSE Zambezi/Tundra
Very intersesting plate under the back where the spare was.
Did you see that in the pic?
Maybe replaced with the Longranger aux tank.

WOW - It's a brave man to say that about Penguin - he's probably one of the most ardent off-roaders on this site !21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

It seems that those two thread are intertwined... Why not merge them, Martin ? (Or someone else with that "power")
Anyone knows a French or at least european importer ?
The fact that the tyre might be removed for everyday use is fine for European as L.R Assist could help in case of an additional tank fitted and no spare tyre !

True, only 11 years now 3 years with an Mitsu Pick-up with same spare tire system as the LR3/DIII
As for the suite and spare tire: Unless you are a full blown mussled man, how will you grab the spare wheel? Arms stretched?
I experienced both (Defender 110) and on- and off-road the easiest and cleanest way was with the spare tire under the car.In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.
