Rear brake caliper fix
I have finally fixed my rear off side caliper!
After months of smelling burning brakes its finally fixed, the weired thing is it wasn't the caliper.
I must have changed the pads 5 times cleaned the sliders greased the pins and it was all in vein.
Cause it was the blinking flexi brake pipe at the back.
Not the one attached to the caliper its the one right at the back which connects the car brake pipes the short metal pipe that sits on the rear arm.
This flexi pipe is the one that has to move all the time as the wheel's move up and down.
This beeping pipe had decided to create its own internal one way valve inside its self so it the caliper stuck on.
The way I found it was if you bleed the brake caliper and leave the bleed nut open when your helper takes her foot off the brake peddle the bubbles don't go up the pipe they stay still.
I changed the pipe and all is good.
Hope some one finds this helpful.

I have only ever seen one duff brake flexi in 30 odd years, and that was on an old karman ghia.
Iirc LR service schedule calls for new brake flexis every 10 years? bet very few if any get done.
