Hi all,
Hope to have a D3 HSE in March 06.
A question for anybody that has the rear air conditioning:- Does/can it work independantly from the front air/con, or is it just ducted from the main air con unit
Cheers

Cheers Hi Draughtsman! welcome to Disco3
the rear aircon has 3 modes, controlled from the 'cockpit'
off
follow main
independent
the unit is a standalone in the rear left panel adjacent the 3rd row seat and gives independent heat / cooling if so set
'follow main' disables the rear controls and will replicate the settings on the main unit

Thanks 10 for cash,
I had a feeling that it was a separate unit due to the cost of the option with the SE. The control system you describe is exactly as I hoped.
Willow the newfoundland (8.5st puppy!!) will be cool next summer
Cheers

Cheers Yep, that was one of my considerations, not so much the kids (they can open the windows ) got a Rhodesian Ridgeback , 8 months old and currently 42kg he's got a bit to go yet....

[edited to add:] there are also heat / cool vents in the dog compartment, the standard dog guard is good, if you order it with the vehicle (as I did) there is no fitting charge, the same appears to apply to all accessories ordered with the vehicle.
