RDS problems
Hi All,
First post so apologies if this has been discussed before......
Can't stop smiling since I took delivery of a new D3 GS over a week ago. However the radio is having major problems finding stations using RDS. I don't belive its the signal strength as other car I've owned have never had a problem in the area I live.
Anyone else had similar problems. I find it hard to believe that is should be normal for a car of this pedigree.
Any help or pointers to other post would be gratefully received.
Thx

Strangely my D3 has had problems with holding a decent R1 signal this last week. But I do have a fridge fitted in the rear, would this affect the signal?HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Guess its now looking for "cool stations" then......................
Sorry...
Anyhow I recall this happening before to us folk, try searching on radio & RDS. Since swapping out my LR radio for a universal Multimedia system I am beginning to think that the D3 aerials are not all that as I have been suffering signal drop out a lot.

Is R1 not cool? . I'll try with the fridge turned off and see if that makes a difference. Don't see why it should. I would like to think the electronics in the D3 wouldn't be affected by the Waeco in the rear.HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Not sure if this is significant but a guy who lives on the same street with a 55 plate D3 S has no problems.

Dealer reckons its the lead from the anntena thats at fault - wants the car for 3 days since they may need to remove the whole dash

I forgot all about this post. For some strange reason the signal is good. Turning and removing the power lead made no difference. But as it all seems good I'm happy. But will keep you all informed if the situation changes HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE
